Description

The Miners Grade Calcium Carbide is delivered to your door in five two-pound (quart) containers. The flat rate price covers all HAZMAT and delivery fees.

It can only be shipped to addresses in the contiguous United States. This is the only amount and size currently available for shipment.

The Carbide is drop shipped from a different location. We must have a deliverable street address and valid phone number for this item, cannot be shipped to PO Boxes.

Due to HAZMAT FEES Carbide is NON RETURNABLE! PLEASE CHECK ALL STATE AND LOCAL ORDINANCES PRIOR TO ORDERING!

Carbide can only be shipped via FEDEX Ground which is included in the price.

We understand completely that 10 pounds may not sound like an economical amount to purchase but unfortunately due to Hazardous Material Handling Fees and Regulations this is really the only economical amount to ship. Approximately $80.00 of the purchase price goes toward the cost of preparing and shipping the Calcium Carbide. If we could ship a smaller amount the cost to you would still be about the same.

We sell most Calcium Carbide to cavers and collectors of Carbide lamps. Quantity: 10 pounds, Size: miners grade. Miners grade carbide is 1/4" to 1/2" in size.

Due to they way Hazardous Materials must be handled, expect delivery in 2-10 days depending on your location in the Continental US.

One of the better deals for mail order carbide

Calcium carbide has become a little hard to find and pricey to mail. Karst Sports is actually a good deal when you consider how expensive it is to ship.

    Poorly Packaged

Posted by Lloyd Lisco on 30th Aug 2016

The five cans arrived here with four of the cans bent in several places, Two of the cans bent severely. These five cans were packed in a six can box, The open area not filled with any cushioning material. This allowed the cans to move from their position in the container and to bend each other as they moved about. No care was used in the packing of this hazardous material, I now have four of the cans I paid for in non sellable condition. My experience with Karst has been very disappointing. From Karst Sports -- We are checking into the problem
