The Petzl P21 SPE is a ball bearing version of the standard Petzl Tandem Pulley. The P21SPE is removable from the cable or rope by just moving upward off of the cable or rope. It is held on by a carabiner going through the triangle at the bottom.
The Petzl Tandem Speed is a pulley designed for use on cables or ropes. Uses ball bearings to give very good performance on Tyrolean traverses. For use on ropes of diameter less than 13 mm or cables of diameter less than 12 mm.

The bottom of the trolley is split apart so the trolley will slide down and over the cable or rope. A connector then goes through the bottom triangle shaped hole to prevent the trolley from coming off the cable.
Vertical equipment strength is rated in kiloNewtons which is a moving mass. The P21SPE is rated at a working load of 10kN which translates to approximately 2250 pounds of force.
