With similar features as the Microcender, the Micrograb is designed to be permanently installed on the rope. This is done by threading the Micrograb onto one end of the rope (or by removing the cam using a spanner). The Micrograb can thus be recommended as a replacement for a Prusik knot, for example: on a tensioning rope.
