Used together with Futura Hand and Futura Foot it's the best support  to ascend a rope with the "ROPE WALKING SYSTEM" (as if climbing a ladder).     Every ounce counts - any item that works as described and allows me to cut weight from my pack (and back) is a win in my book. I've used this once so far for an 130ft ascent and it worked flawlessly. Please note that the top hole will not fit a standard clip and is intended for a strap.
